Our history

The Duckas company was founded by Gustavo and Patricio Aguirre Saravia in 1983. We began providing silage service to agricultural companies in Santa Fe and Buenos Aires, being the first in the country to do so with self propeller machinery for that time. In 1990 we settled in the town of Carlos Casares, province of Buenos Aires, where we built warehouses, workshops and the logistics base to be able to provide our services anywhere in the country.

The characteristic that we wanted to give Duckas from the beginning was that of being the best option when hiring forage conservation, permanently training and qualifying our staff, directly supervising the work, staying within the latest technology and advising the producer on the different stages of the process.
In our beginnings we worked around 1,000 hectares per year, growing progressively until today, processing around 14,000 hectares in the last season.

In 2002, together with other colleagues, we were founders of the Argentine Chamber of Forage Contractors, an entity created to disseminate service quality standards, train company members and producers on the basis of permanent extension through meetings throughout the country, and to coordinate collaboration between contractors with a view to providing support and services in solidarity for better customer service.

Another of the activities that we add throughout our history, and based on the growing local and international demand for food, is the production and marketing of alfalfa megabales. So it is that in 2009 the Meganoa company was born, dedicated exclusively to this activity, which not only produces and markets, but also provides clothing services to third parties.

In addition to the silage and hay making service, the group added new activities over the years. One of them was the incorporation of the provision of soil movement services, cleaning of pits and pens. And from it arose the need to use this waste from livestock operations as fertilizer, so we began to provide the service of spreading manure, both solid and liquid.

Throughout our trajectory we have obtained numerous awards. But our greatest recognition is given to us by our clients by choosing us year after year for the quality of our service.

The human team at the helm of the Duckas Group, throughout all these years of history, is our most valuable legacy.
